As part of his working mission that he began yesterday in Somalia, the President of the National Assembly of Djibouti, HE Dilleita Mohamed Dilleita, accompanied by a strong parliamentary delegation, met today with the Somali President, His Excellency Mr. Hassan Cheikh Mahamoud at the palace of the Federal Republic of Somalia The discussions which took place in a setting marked by cordiality and fraternity, between the Somali Head of State His Excellency Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and HE, Mr. Dileita Mohamed Dileita, focused on various subjects of mutual interest, aimed at intensifying the bonds of friendship between the two peoples and consolidating bilateral cooperation between Djibouti and Somalia. A meeting that demonstrates the continued commitment of the two countries and the two leaders, namely President Ismail Omar Guelleh and President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, to work together for regional peace and prosperity. Furthermore, it should be recalled that the President of the National Assembly of Djibouti, H.E.M. Dileita Mohamed Dileita, began this 4-day official visit to Somalia on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the invitation of his counterpart and brother, Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, H.E Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madoobe. Upon his arrival at Adan Abdulle (Adan cAdde) Airport in Mogadishu, he was warmly welcomed by His Excellency Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur “Madobe”, Speaker of the House of the People of Somalia, at Mogadishu International Airport, with folk songs and dances, in the presence of many parliamentarians and other eminent personalities of the capital. Indeed, this visit is part of the strengthening of relations between the two countries and follows the visit of cooperation and friendship that President Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur made to the Republic of Djibouti last May. It should also be noted that President Dileita is leading a large delegation composed of deputies, including members of the bureau of the National Assembly and members of the Djibouti-Somali parliamentary friendship group, namely the honorable Saleban Daher Billeh, Djibril Abdillahi Miganeh, Abdourahman Mohamed Allaleh, Mesdames Oubah Abdillahi and Aicha Mohamed, Messieurs Ahmed Hassan, Abdo Isse Boulaleh, Houssein Mohamed Ali as well as the Secretary General, Ambassador Ismail Goulal Boudine.
