Djibouti Mayor Condemns Terrorist Act That Hit Somali Capital Mogadishu Friday Night

On behalf of the Municipality of Djibouti and in his own name, in these painful moments, the Mayor of the City of Djibouti, Mr. Said Daoud Mohamed, expresses his condolences and solidarity with the Mayor of Mogadishu, the families of the victims and the brotherly Somali people. The Mayor of Djibouti City wrote to his Somali compatriots: “We condemn in the strongest terms the heinous terrorist attack perpetrated by Al-Shabaab, on Friday evening, which resulted in the death of several civilians on the Lido beach in Mogadishu, the capital of the Federal Republic of Somalia.” He stressed that “our prayers and support all the victims and their families, as well as our support to the Somali people and government.” The Mayor of the City of Djibouti, Said Daoud, declared: “We are convinced that Somalia will overcome this ordeal and win its noble battle against terrorism, a barbaric act that must be fought by all means.”
