The Djibouti City Hall continues its preparations for the June 27th celebrations

Date de l'événement : 2025-05-28

*Wednesday, May 28, 2025 – Day 6* On this sixth day, following the Mayor's directives, operations to remove bulky waste took place in the expansive Quarter 7. In fact, the Director of Vinci Company, through letter May 25/304, as part of the PERRAD Project (Project Management: Onead), requested the Djibouti City Hall to remove bulky waste in Q7. The PERRAD Project aims to significantly improve sanitation and the urban environment in the old neighborhoods of Q5, Q6, Q7, Q7bis, and Stade. Today, the deployment and assembly of material and human resources took place on the outskirts of Q7, along the E-type road bordering the Ambouli cemetery. The City Hall staff relied on a plan provided by Vinci to locate bulky waste within Q7. Final notices were issued to property owners who requested additional time to retrieve their belongings. At the end of the operations, the day is scheduled to conclude in the Dawaleh neighborhood, where bulky waste eagerly awaits transfer to the Douda impound lot. Furthermore, many bulky items identified during the last census have been relocated. Therefore, a revision of this census was necessary and took place this afternoon. The results of this revision will enable us to optimize upcoming operations. [The City Hall] Translated and published by : Nouria Omar Gaber
