The Municipality Intensifies Efforts for the Success of the "Djibouti Zero Waste" Campaign

Under the High Patronage of the Minister Delegate for Decentralization, Mr. Kassim Haroun Ali, the Mayor of Djibouti Launches the Operation to Remove Abandoned Vehicles This morning, Mayor of Djibouti-Ville, Mr. Said Daoud Mohamed, officially launched the operation to remove abandoned vehicles, an initiative aimed at enhancing urban cleanliness and organization. Several key partners participated in the action, including the National Gendarmerie, the Djibouti Roadworks Office, the Association of Djiboutian Freight Forwarders, and the MTS Company.Thanks to the technical support provided by these partners, who made specialized equipment available to the municipality, the day's planned operations successfully cleared abandoned vehicles from Avenue Nasser. This campaign will continue for three weeks, covering all three municipal districts of Djibouti-Ville. During a brief statement, Mayor Said Daoud reaffirmed his commitment to continuing the elimination of bulky waste and maintaining a clean and organized city. He expressed his gratitude to various partners, including the Vice President of Boulaos Municipality, elected officials from Boulaos, the National Gendarmerie, the Freight Forwarders Association, and the MTS Company, for their active participation and technical assistance. Additionally, the Mayor called on other freight companies to contribute to this civic initiative. On this occasion, he also thanked the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Interior, and the Minister Delegate for Decentralization for their encouragement and moral support .
