The Mayor of Djibouti City, Mr. Said Daoud, welcomed a delegation from the Arkeyna Association this morning. This dynamic and committed organization is spearheading a local forum project aimed at strengthening social and associative life in the Obock region.
During the meeting, the association's members presented their vision, outlining the forum's objectives and the various planned activities designed to foster exchange and community development. Their initiative, praised for its ambition and potential positive impact, follows a participatory approach aimed at mobilizing the region's active forces.
Several local figures attended the meeting, reflecting the importance attributed to this project. Among them were Mrs. Fatouma, Deputy Prefect of the 5th District, as well as the Deputy Prefects of the 6th and 2nd Districts, the latter represented by Mr. Abdouchahid, known as "Cuba."
True to his republican spirit and progressive stance, inherited from his long years of activism within the People's Rally for Progress (RPP), Mayor Said Daoud reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to social initiatives. He reiterated the municipality's commitment to assisting the association in realizing this forum, particularly by mobilizing the necessary resources and facilitating coordination with various stakeholders.
Finally, this meeting marks a promising step in the collaboration between local authorities and civil society, illustrating a shared determination to promote inclusive and sustainable development in Obock. The next steps will involve finalizing the forum's program, which is expected to strengthen social ties and open new opportunities for the region's inhabitants.
