Mayor's meeting with representatives of the city's local courts The Mayor of Djibouti, Mr Said Daoud Mohamed, met with representatives of the Djibouti City Local Court, including elderly men and women from different neighbourhoods in the city and discussed the payment of salaries to the represented members. The Mayor then spoke about the National Day and the preservation of the environment as one of the most important challenges facing societies today. He points out that the environment is the basis for life on our planet, and that humanity is highly dependent on ecosystems ,he mentioned the waste found everywhere in our country and expressed how sorry he felt about what was happening and called for the fight against waste and the like. He praised the security that our dear country has and also noted the joy of celebrating the glorious National Day and that people in Djibouti live with love and brotherhood and support each other. He also motivated the people to adhere to unity, equality and good values and called on them to follow the Sharia laws in Djibouti City. He also praised the President of the Republic (Ismail Omar Guelleh) and Mr. Mohamed Hassan Said, President of the Belbala region, and Mr. Aden Daleh Direh, former President of the region (Belaous), praised the efforts of the Mayor and the positions he took with the local courts of the country (local assembly) for the efforts of the Mayor and the positions he took with the President. After the celebration, the mayor and municipal employees went out to celebrate publicly in the streets of the city, which included men and women, old, young and young, many Djiboutian people gathered to make a tour around the city to celebrate, honour and revere the National Day, where there were different bands with dances and songs while walking, including the Arab, Somali and Afar band, and Then the mayor shared this solemn occasion with all joy and pleasure and after a heart-warming celebration. The mayor met with the Djiboutian youth and praised them for their great participation in celebrating publicly in front of all Djiboutian and non-Djiboutian people. The mayor mentioned that this is the second year that the celebration was held publicly and then promised them a bright and promising future that will illuminate the future of the youth regardless of the extremists and those who reject the progress of this country dear to us, and he again praised the president, saying that he is in our midst and taught us to love each other and unite and cohere among us regardless of the different nationalities of the Djiboutian people.
