The President of the Republic, His Excellency Ismail Omar Guelleh, hosted a banquet today in honor of Mr. Mahamoud Ali Youssouf. The Mayor of the city, Hon. Said Daoud Mohamed, also attended this event, which brought together members of the Government, the Prime Minister, the President of the National Assembly, civil and military authorities, Djiboutian ambassadors stationed abroad, and representatives of the consular and diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Djibouti. This occasion allowed the Mayor of the capital, Mr. Said Daoud Mohamed, to extend his heartfelt wishes for success and prosperity to his long-time friend and political ally within the RPP Party, His Excellency Mr. Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, as he assumes his new role as President of the African Union Commission.
