Djibouti Mayor Commemorates Xeer Issa's Intangible Heritage Listing by UNESCO.

The Mayor of the city of Djibouti took part this morning in the official ceremony celebrating the recognition of the customary law "Xeer Cisse" by UNESCO. The ceremony was held in the main stadium of the city of Dire-dawa, and was attended by several governmental and traditional authorities from the Republic of Djibouti, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Kenya as well as the Federal Republic of Ethiopia.
